Antena TV Channel Rebrand Animation
Motion Jelly worked closely with Twin-Associates on the animation that plays an important role in the idents of the rebrand of Antena TV in Romania. Here are some of the fun idents and backgrounds we created. Strategy, design, art direction, direction and live shoot by Twin-Associates. Animation and Compositing by Motion Jelly.
The Brief
Antena 1 is a Romanian free-to-air television network. Its programming consists of television news programs, soap opera shows, football matches, entertainment programmes, movies and television series. The channel branding needed to work alongside the wide variety of programming offered on the channel while providing a refreshing moment of fun using the channel logo as the hero. It needed to celebrate the fun side of life and feel authentically Romanian.
The Solution
We created a channel rebrand animation that celebrates the fun, lighthearted feel of the channel and its programming. The Idents utilise live footage of typical Romanian settings and people engaging in a variety of fun and surprising activities. We brought the Antena TV logo into each scene as floating logo particles that interact witḣ the action in each scene. The variety of idents meant that every break in programming could feel like a new surprise moment. For the backgrounds, we used the Antena logo and colour, with some fancy 3D lighting and reflections for some extra bling. Who doesn’t like a glossy 3D logo?
Let’s Get Technical
We utilised 3D tracking to match the 3D camera moves of the real world shoots. Then we tracked and recreated any action in the scene so that our logo particles could react to the scene and any moving people or objects. The result is floating logos with personality that feel like they are part of each scene.
